The couple first met in 1987 while working together on the TV movie Lemon Sky and married the following year. They are parents to two adult children, Travis, 37, and Sosie, 34.
Most recently, the family has been involved in a collaborative project, a horror-comedy film titled Family Movie. The film, co-directed by Bacon and Sedgwick, also stars their children. It is scheduled for theatrical release on April 23, 2027. The plot centers on a filmmaking family whose low-budget production turns into a real-life slasher scenario when a dead body is discovered on set.
Liza Koshy, a social media personality and actress, has also teased her involvement in the movie, hinting at a significant role in the film's narrative. The premiere for Family Movie was held in New York City at Film Lincoln Center, with Sedgwick describing the event as "gory good."
Bacon has previously shared tributes to Sedgwick, including a video montage for her birthday on August 19, writing, "Happy birthday @kyrasedgwickofficial, to another year of loving you." Sedgwick responded to the post, expressing her love.
