All Elite Wrestling (AEW) world champion Kenny Omega has warned challenger Will Ospreay that his recent alliances have made him "sloppy" and could lead to him losing everything at their upcoming title match. The warning came during a tense confrontation on AEW "Dynamite" following an ambush of Ospreay by members of the Don Callis Family.
Ospreay had initiated a promo calling out Omega, but was instead met by Don Callis. Following Callis's remarks, Rocky Romero, Trent Beretta, Mark Davis, and Jake Doyle attacked Ospreay. Omega then emerged, fended off the attackers, and addressed Ospreay, who was recovering in the ring. "I warned you about Don Callis. I warned you about Jon Moxley," Omega stated. "But Will, it’s made you sloppy. It’s made you a fool. And you will lose everything."
Omega extended a hand to Ospreay, indicating a desire to help him recover, but stated he could not intervene again. "From here on in, it’s just me and you," Omega told Ospreay.
Ospreay, however, declined Omega's assistance, stating, "I didn’t ask for it. And I’m not going to need your help, thank you." The interaction sets a confrontational tone for their championship bout.
The AEW World Championship match between Omega and Ospreay is scheduled for All In at Wembley Stadium in London on August 30. This bout is expected to be the main event of AEW's largest annual event.
Ospreay secured his title shot by winning the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament. Kenny Omega won the AEW title from MJF in July. This upcoming match at All In will feature a stacked card, including Willow Nightingale defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against Mercedes Moné, and Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defending the AEW World Tag Team Championship against The Young Bucks. Several other championship matches and a Casino Gauntlet match to determine the next contender for the AEW World Championship are also scheduled.
