Kenneth Walker III Avoids Former Seahawks Teammates After Chiefs' First Loss

Kenneth Walker III did not engage with his former Seattle Seahawks teammates after the Kansas City Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season to Seattle on Sunday night. Walker, who signed with the Chiefs in the offseason after four seasons with the Seahawks, reportedly headed directly to the locker room before the game's final whistle.

A Lumen Field worker briefly intervened to facilitate an interaction with a Seahawks staffer, but Walker proceeded towards the tunnel.

The game marked Walker's return to Seattle, where he had won a Super Bowl the previous season. His performance on Sunday was a stark contrast to his earlier season statistics. He carried the ball 14 times for only 36 yards, with his longest run measuring seven yards. This follows a strong start to the season where he exceeded 110 rushing yards in four of the Chiefs' first five games and scored two touchdowns in each of their previous two contests.

Prior to the game, Walker had attempted to downplay the significance of his return to Seattle, stating to reporters, “I’m just focused on critiquing the mistakes we made. Once we get to that point, we’ll see.” The Chiefs ultimately lost the game 20-3.
