This comes after U.S. President Donald Trump claimed the center has been losing "tens of millions of dollars, even hundreds of millions of dollars" for years.

Trump, who has expressed a desire for his name to be associated with the venue, was observed reviewing a poster on Air Force One that appeared to suggest the demolition of the Kennedy Center. The audit records offer a different financial picture, indicating a positive balance once external funding is considered.
