Kendra Wilkinson, 41, has declared she is moving away from her former image associated with Playboy and Hugh Hefner, stating she is no longer trying to be sexy. The reality television personality shared her new perspective on social media this week, emphasizing self-acceptance and her current life stage.
"I'm ok aging. I'm ok not being young Kendra anymore. I'm not playboy anymore. I am not trying to be sexy," Wilkinson posted on Instagram Stories. She added that dating and relationships are not her current focus, as she prioritizes her children, Hank IV, 14, and Alijah, 12, whom she shares with ex-husband Hank Baskett III.
Wilkinson, who rose to fame on the show "The Girls Next Door" as one of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends, stated her current priority is "looking exactly how I want and loving myself exactly how I am." She described her journey to reach this point as having navigated past concerns about external expectations, now focusing solely on changes that suit her and her children.
This is not the first time Wilkinson has spoken about self-acceptance. In March, she addressed comments about her appearance, stating, "I’ve seen many people comment saying I’ve aged 'poorly' and that is OK. I’m OK with aging 'poorly.'" She indicated that she is happier than ever, even with some weight gain and wrinkles, and is choosing not to tie her happiness to negative energy.
Wilkinson moved into the Playboy Mansion at age 18. After her time associated with Playboy, she pursued a career in real estate, obtaining her license in 2020 and joining The Agency. A docuseries titled "Kendra Sells Hollywood" documented her early career struggles, running for two seasons from 2021 to 2023.
In June 2026, Wilkinson expressed feeling "tired" and "lost" in her career, contemplating her future in real estate and whether to persevere or step away. In 2024, she announced a temporary hiatus from real estate to focus on her mental health and children. Her recent social media posts, however, reflect a more positive outlook, with Wilkinson expressing gratitude and confidence in her business endeavors, sharing that she has been "so busy learning how to get better and stronger out here in the world and at the same time giving myself grace and praise."
