Kendall Jenner Weighs in on Kylie's Victoria's Secret Debut Amid Fan Backlash

Kendall Jenner has broken her silence regarding her sister Kylie Jenner's recent Victoria's Secret Fashion Show debut, which sparked significant online criticism. The 29-year-old cosmetics billionaire made a surprise appearance on the runway, modeling the coveted $50 million Fantasy Bra.

Kendall Jenner, herself a prominent supermodel who last walked the Victoria's Secret runway in 2018, publicly addressed her sister's appearance by commenting on Kylie's Instagram post. "A gorgeous woman!!!" Jenner wrote, signaling no sibling rivalry and offering her support.

Kylie Jenner shared a video clip of the moment with her 380 million followers, captioning it "pinch me!!!!!" alongside a diamond emoji and tagging Victoria's Secret. She was adorned with towering white angel wings, a bejeweled bra, and a slinky miniskirt, completing the look with backless, open-toe perspex heels.

The decision to have Kylie Jenner wear the iconic Fantasy Bra, which features a $22 million yellow diamond centerpiece and 4,410 natural diamonds, ignited fan fury. Critics on social media called for the show's cancellation, with some deeming the choice "UNACCEPTABLE" and "basic." This marked the first time the brand had featured the Fantasy Bra on its runway since 2018, and Kylie became the first non-Angel to wear the celebrated piece.

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show returned to Los Angeles for the first time in 19 years. The event featured other notable models including Gigi and Bella Hadid, Adriana Lima, Elsa Hosk, Barbara Palvin, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, Vittoria Ceretti, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Irina Shayk, and Ashley Graham. Musical performances were provided by Megan Thee Stallion, Megan Moroney, and Tate McRae.

A significant moment of the show was the reveal of Victoria's Secret's newest Angel, Solange Omon, discovered through the brand's streaming series "Angels Among Us." The show marked its third year back after a six-year hiatus. The iconic fashion event, which began in 1995 and was broadcast on television by 2001, faced cancellation in 2019 following criticism regarding the brand's lack of diversity and controversial comments from former chief marketing officer Ed Razek about transgender and plus-sized models.
