Kendall Jenner Addresses Lesbian Rumors, Teases Openness to Same-Sex Encounters
The model clarified her sexuality on 'The Kardashians,' stating she is not a lesbian but would not rule out future romantic or intimate experiences with women.
Kendall Jenner has addressed long-standing rumors about her sexuality, stating on a recent episode of "The Kardashians" that she is not a lesbian but is open to the possibility of future romantic or intimate experiences with women. The speculation has often linked her with fellow model Cara Delevingne, a friendship Jenner described as a platonic bond of over a decade.
"We should address this. It’s because of our love for each other. People think I’m a lesbian to this day," Jenner said, before clarifying, "I’m not."
Despite denying an attraction to women, Jenner playfully added that she "wouldn’t be opposed to having some fun with a girl." This statement comes amid her reported romance with "Euphoria" star Jacob Elordi.
Jenner acknowledged the rumors about her friendship with Delevingne, stating, "There’s definitely a rumor that [Delevingne] and I dated or something in the past, which is not true. Not that I would have anything wrong with dating Cara, but we’ve just always been best buds."
She further commented on the idea of being a lesbian, musing that it "would be fun and easier" than being straight, humorously adding that "men suck." However, she reiterated, "I just have never had a desire to have sex with women." With a wink, she concluded, "Never say never, right?"
Jenner and Elordi were first linked in April and have since traveled together extensively. Jenner has also previously addressed these rumors on the "In Your Dreams" podcast, expressing frustration with the unkind nature of some online speculation.
"You want to know what really bothers me? How mean people are about it," Jenner said. "It’s not with, like, a welcoming arm of like, ‘Hey, if you were, yes, come join.’ It’s not kind. It’s very mean. It’s very like, ‘What the f*** are you doing?’"
She emphasized that if she were a lesbian, she would not hide it. "I think at this point in my life I’d be out if I was... Knowing myself and knowing how I would want to live my life, I would be. I’d have no problem being that." Jenner also dismissed the idea that being open about her sexuality would be bad for business, stating, "I don't understand it."
Jenner reflected on her dating life throughout her twenties, noting that she spent much of the decade in relationships. She described turning 29 as a turning point, leading her to focus on a "me year" where she prioritized herself. Despite past relationship experiences, she expressed a desire for a future relationship filled with understanding and love.
"I felt like I had a bit more trauma from relationships throughout my 20s than I thought I did," Jenner shared, linking it to her Saturn return. She has previously expressed a desire for privacy regarding her personal life, viewing relationships and friendships as sacred and something she prefers to keep out of the public eye to avoid complications.
