Ken Jennings, the current host of "Jeopardy!," revealed that his wife, Mindy Jennings, actually prefers former guest host Aaron Rodgers. Mindy’s reasoning, according to Ken, is straightforward: "He's very handsome."

Rodgers, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, hosted "Jeopardy!" for two weeks in April 2021, following the death of longtime host Alex Trebek. After his guest stint, Rodgers expressed interest in becoming the permanent host and stated he had prepared extensively by watching numerous episodes to understand the role's requirements.

Jennings shared his conversation with his wife in an interview with People ahead of the Season 4 premiere of "Jeopardy! Masters." "When I tried to figure out why, I was like, ‘Honey, you know I was a guest host, too,’" Ken recalled. "And she was like, ‘Well, he’s very handsome.’ "

While Rodgers's pursuit of the permanent hosting job did not materialize, Jennings eventually secured the role, building on his history as a legendary contestant. Before his "Jeopardy!" fame, Jennings was a computer programmer in Utah. He appeared on the show in 2004 as he approached 30, a period when he and his wife had recently welcomed their first child and purchased a home.

Jennings also noted that his "Jeopardy!" job provides a unique parenting advantage at home. "Weirdly, [my job] gives me a bit of a parenting advantage," he told People. "Like, if you’re the host of Jeopardy!, your kids will believe you when you try to parent. And it drives my wife bonkers. [She’ll be] like, ‘I just said that same thing. Why are you believing Dad?’ And they’re like, ‘Host of Jeopardy!’ "

Despite Jennings holding the official hosting position and his extensive "Jeopardy!" history, Rodgers maintains a distinct advantage in winning over Mindy Jennings.
