Kelsey Parker Welcomes Baby River, Finds Hope After Stillbirth
Kelsey Parker, widow of The Wanted singer Tom Parker, has announced the birth of her daughter, River, a year after experiencing a devastating stillbirth.
Kelsey Parker, the widow of The Wanted singer Tom Parker, has welcomed a baby girl named River, offering a beacon of hope following a stillbirth last year. The announcement was made on Sunday via a post on her Instagram account, which featured a photo of a newborn's arm beside a pink sign bearing the baby's name.
"Welcome to the world, River. Our little bit of hope," the caption read.
Parker, 35, had previously shared the "earth-shattering news" in June of the previous year that she and her partner, Will Lindsay, had lost their baby, Phoenix, who was stillborn. This loss followed the death of her husband, Tom Parker, in 2022 at the age of 33, after he was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. The couple had two children together before his passing.
Since the loss of her stillborn son, Parker has expressed her philosophy on her Instagram bio: "turning life's hardest moments into hope." Last year, she shared a poem titled "Born Sleeping, Forever Loved" that poignantly reflected on the experience.
The birth of River has been met with congratulations from various celebrities, including Rochelle Humes, Susanna Reid, and Holly Hagan-Blyth, who shared their well wishes on social media. "Congratulations angel," Humes commented, while Reid wrote, "Oh my goodness – this is so wonderful – welcome River."
