Actor Kelsey Grammer visited the White House on Thursday, meeting with former President Donald Trump and offering praise for his demeanor and his vision for the country. Grammer described Trump as "very chipper, very positive and uplifting," adding that the former president's "heart" is invested in the "American experiment."

Grammer, known for his roles in "Cheers" and "Frasier," told reporters he stopped by to speak with "the big guy," reporting that the meeting lasted for about an hour. He shared that they discussed their personal lives, families, and wives.

Discussing Trump's approach to bipartisanship, Grammer suggested that Trump understands how different political alignments function. "I think he celebrates in his heart and in actuality the American experiment, which is honestly a story of two sides bashing heads all the time and finally coming out with some kind of middle ground," Grammer said.

Earlier in the week, Grammer appeared on Fox News' "Jesse Watters Primetime," where he expressed his views on critics of the current administration. He stated that a "virus" of hatred seemed to have infected a small number of people who wish to tear things down. "I pray for them. I pray for everyone to find a decent sentiment in their hearts about this country about the people who run it these days," he told Watters.

Grammer's visit and his public support for Trump are likely to draw attention from political observers. The actor's promotion of his new movie, "Young Washington," in which he portrays Lord Fairfax, coincided with this visit to the White House.
