Kelly Osbourne Relocates to English Farm, Seeks Different Childhood for Son

Kelly Osbourne has relocated her four-year-old son, Sidney, to an English farm, seeking to provide him with a childhood experience distinct from her own. Osbourne, 41, shares Sidney with her former fiancé, Slipknot bassist Sid Wilson. The couple ended their engagement in March, seven months after Wilson proposed.

Following the separation, Osbourne made the decision to leave Los Angeles, where she had lived for nearly three decades, and return to the English countryside. She stated her primary motivation was to shield Sidney from the experiences that shaped her own upbringing and to be closer to her late father, Ozzy Osbourne's, grave.

"At first, when he was younger and we were on the road a lot [with Sidney's dad's band Slipknot], I was like: 'This is great. He gets to grow up just like me.' And then I thought: 'No, this actually isn't healthy for him and this is exposing him to too much. I've got to get him home,'" Osbourne told The Sun. She added that she and Wilson had always intended for their child to be raised in England.

Osbourne also cited concerns over gun culture in the United States as a factor in her decision. Sidney is now attending the same village school Osbourne attended before her family moved to Los Angeles when she was 13. Osbourne has become actively involved in the school community, attending Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meetings and events.

In a recent appearance on Paul Brunson's podcast, Osbourne spoke candidly about a relapse into drinking following her father's death. She described the period as one where she was a "shell of myself" and unable to care for herself. Osbourne, who has a history of battling drug and alcohol addiction since her teenage years, stated that she is now eight months sober. She emphasized the importance of her support system and having "closed" her circle to those who could not accommodate her grief.

Osbourne previously shared in 2021 that she had relapsed after nearly four years of sobriety, which began with a single glass of champagne. She explained that her substance use was never about partying but about attempting to escape pain.
