Kelly Osbourne has stated that she has permanently cut her estranged sister, Aimee, out of her life, expressing that there is no hope for reconciliation.

In a recent appearance on the "We Need To Talk" podcast, Osbourne, 41, explained her decision, claiming that Aimee never truly acknowledged her or their brother Jack and that she felt her sister was embarrassed by the family. "If you're not going to accept me for who I am, and constantly be trying to change me and say horrible things about me, and truly seem to thrive when I'm not doing well, I don't want you in my life," Osbourne said.

When asked about the possibility of a reconciliation, Osbourne responded with a definitive "No, no." She also shared that she harbors resentment for not having had a close relationship with a big sister, stating, "It was always me and Jack. If I'm honest my older sister didn't really ever acknowledge me and my brother. She was just in her own world, doing her own thing."

Osbourne confirmed in 2021 that she and her older sister, 43, had been estranged for a significant period due to differing personalities. Osbourne elaborated that she felt Aimee was "embarrassed of the whole family."

In contrast, Kelly expressed deep loyalty to her other family members, stating, "I have never been ashamed of my family, we’re not conventional, but we are honest. I am like my father in the sense that I wear my heart on my sleeve, I can’t pretend. I am who I am. You can love me or hate me."

Aimee, the eldest child of Sharon and the late Ozzy Osbourne, opted out of their reality television show, "The Osbournes," moving out of the family home at age 16. While the MTV series propelled Kelly and Jack to fame, Aimee remained out of the public eye.

Previously, Aimee had explained her decision not to participate in the show, telling The Independent that she was still discovering herself amid family chaos and wished to protect her privacy. "I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable," she had said.

Kelly reflected on the launch of "The Osbournes," recalling a conversation with her mother and brother on Venice Beach the night before it aired, where Sharon questioned if they had made a significant mistake. Kelly admitted she was initially excited about participating in the show, but the sudden influx of paparazzi and public judgment that followed the premiere impacted their lives.

"The Osbournes" concluded in 2005 after four seasons. Osbourne noted that while the show was a formative part of her life, she still sometimes struggles with being perceived as her 16-year-old self from that era. She added, "It’s only just now, when I’m in my 40’s that I’m free to do that."

Jack Osbourne also previously stated that he and Aimee are not close. He recalled Aimee's desire to be a more obscure musician, akin to artists like Fiona Apple or Mazzy Star, and her perception of participating in "The Osbournes" as "low-hanging fruit." He suggested that Aimee might have regretted not joining the show, given its success.

Aimee has maintained a private life, releasing music under the name ARO and pursuing some acting roles. Sharon Osbourne has previously expressed her heartbreak over Aimee's departure from the family home at 16, stating she regrets it daily.

During the funeral procession for her father, Ozzy Osbourne, in July 2025, Aimee appeared alongside her mother, Kelly, and brother Jack, offering a rare public moment of family unity.
