Kelly Osbourne No Longer Seeks Reconciliation With Estranged Sister
Kelly Osbourne stated that she no longer wants a relationship with her older sister, Aimee Osbourne, due to Aimee's alleged disapproval and hurtful remarks.
Kelly Osbourne has expressed that she sees no hope for reconciliation with her estranged older sister, Aimee Osbourne. In an episode of the "We Need To Talk" podcast, Kelly Osbourne detailed the fractured dynamic between them, stating that they are "not close" and "couldn't be more polar opposite."
Kelly Osbourne suggested that Aimee may have been embarrassed by her family's public life, particularly their reality television show, "The Osbournes." While Kelly and her brother participated in the show, Aimee chose not to, valuing her privacy. "I do, to a certain extent, if I’m honest, feel as though she was embarrassed of us," Kelly Osbourne said.
Kelly Osbourne also shared that the lack of a close relationship with an older sister figure has been a difficult aspect of her life. "I had to learn how to do certain things that a big sister should have taught you on my own," she explained, admitting to a sense of resentment. "I’ll have that forever."
She further elaborated on the conditions under which she would maintain a relationship, stating, "If you’re not going to accept me for who I am and constantly be trying to change me, and say horrible things about me, and truly seem to thrive when I’m not doing well — I don’t want you in my life."
Aimee Osbourne previously explained her decision to abstain from "The Osbournes" in a 2020 interview, citing a desire to protect her privacy and allow herself to develop as an individual away from the intense public scrutiny. She stated that the show "definitely worked great for the rest of my family, but for me, and who I am, I just knew it was never something that I would have been able to consider realistically."
