Kelly Osbourne has recounted being given her first line of cocaine by a friend of her late father, Ozzy Osbourne. The 41-year-old star reflected on her experiences growing up, particularly her time at the Sunset Marquis hotel in Los Angeles.

In the documentary "If These Walls Could Rock," Kelly Osbourne described the hotel as a place where she had her "first drink," "first kiss," and "first line of cocaine." She stated that the drug was provided by a member of "a very, very, very big band," one of her father's associates, and that she feared her parents' reaction if they knew.

Her mother, Sharon Osbourne, noted that the family often stayed at the Sunset Marquis during Ozzy Osbourne's U.S. tours before they established a home in Los Angeles. Sharon Osbourne explained that the hotel allowed Ozzy to maintain his "sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll" lifestyle. She added that he enjoyed the freedom to wander the gardens and interact with other guests, making it feel like home.

Kelly Osbourne characterized the Sunset Marquis as the "only hotel" where her father could truly be himself and where the family was not asked to leave, despite potential misbehavior. "My dad could misbehave politely here," she recalled.

Billy Gibbons, a member of the band ZZ Top, shared an anecdote about Ozzy Osbourne at the hotel. He recounted an evening at the pool where Ozzy initiated a glass-smashing incident, which quickly spread among the guests. Gibbons described how the broken glass made it dangerous for anyone to leave, prolonging the festivities.

Ozzy Osbourne died in July 2025 at the age of 76.
