Kelly Osbourne Celebrates 42nd Birthday Amidst Personal Revelations

Kelly Osbourne celebrated her 42nd birthday on Sunday, sharing moments of the occasion with her son, Sidney. Dressed in matching skeleton costumes for what appeared to be a Halloween-themed celebration, Osbourne danced with her three-year-old son in a video posted to Instagram.

Osbourne also shared a photo of herself resting with Sidney asleep on her, writing, "There is no better way to spend my birthday than cuddling with my baby!"

This celebration comes after Osbourne revealed a significant change in her physical appearance. She stated that she has gained two stone in the past six months, expressing her own surprise at recent photographs. Earlier this year, Osbourne had sparked concern among observers at the BRITs ceremony due to a considerably slimmer appearance.

Osbourne has denied using weight loss injections, such as Ozempic, and attributed her previous significant weight loss to gastric sleeve surgery in 2018, followed by a strict diet and exercise regimen. Her weight journey has also been influenced by her pregnancy with Sidney in 2022, during which she gained approximately 100 pounds and developed gestational diabetes.

Osbourne has spoken candidly about past struggles with insecurity regarding her weight, stemming from comments made during her teenage years on her family's reality show, "The Osbournes." She revealed an instance where she was told she was "too fat for TV" and needed to lose weight to be considered a "movie star."

Amidst personal challenges, including the death of her father Ozzy Osbourne in July 2025 and a past split from fiancé Sid Wilson, Osbourne has also addressed her sobriety. She disclosed a relapse into drinking following her father's death, describing a period where she was "a shell of myself" and struggled to care for herself. Osbourne stated she is now eight months sober and has focused on her recovery with a close circle of support.

Osbourne has a history of battling addiction, having previously experienced relapses after periods of sobriety. She has stated that her past use of drugs and alcohol was not for recreation but as a coping mechanism for difficult emotions and pain.
