Pop star Kelly Clarkson's recent four-minute, 50-second visit to the Brooklyn novelty store Art of Play escalated into a public disagreement, with both parties sharing their perspectives and video evidence.

The confrontation began when Clarkson visited the store on a Saturday afternoon with her children. According to Clarkson, she felt treated poorly by the staff, who she claimed acted as if she could not afford the items. She specifically mentioned an interaction involving a bird-like item named Molly.

Clarkson asserts that the staff treated her dismissively, while the store's co-owners, Adam and Melissa Rubin, maintain that Molly was never for sale and had been a personal item. Surveillance footage shows Clarkson entering the store at 2:49 PM and leaving by 2:54 PM. The singer then posted a critical tweet about her experience at 3:09 PM, approximately 15 minutes after exiting the store.

In response to the public accusations, Art of Play released surveillance footage of the incident. The store's owners stated that they have received thousands of threats and hateful messages following the dispute. They also claim that Molly, the item in question, had never been for sale. To further emphasize their point, the store has since raised the price of Molly to $15 million.

Adam Rubin, a co-owner of Art of Play, said the store has received thousands of threats and 'hateful messages'

Clarkson, however, has pushed back against the store's narrative, accusing them of spinning a story. The singer has maintained her stance that the staff's behavior was inappropriate. The feud has played out publicly on social media, with neither Clarkson nor the store showing signs of backing down.

Neither Clarkson nor the store have shown any willingness to let up their end of the feud
