Kelley Wolf has publicly apologized to her estranged husband, actor Scott Wolf, and their three children for the "profound harm" caused by a period of erratic behavior that led to her being placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold.

In an Instagram post, Wolf revealed that she was diagnosed with "breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis," which she attributes to a combination of stress, past trauma, hormonal shifts, hallucinogens, and prescribed medication. She described the experience as feeling like her brain had been "hijacked."

Wolf stated that she had "no awareness" of her actions at the time and was "completely delusional," recounting instances where she believed she was in the CIA or running for president.

"I won’t recount all the chaos, but what has burdened my soul is my need to say I’m so sorry," she wrote, addressing the pain her behavior caused her family. She specifically apologized to Scott Wolf, describing his experience as a "nightmare."

Kelley and the "Party of Five" actor announced the end of their 21-year marriage in June 2025, with Kelley being detained by police in Utah days later. In her recent statement, she acknowledged that her actions, words, and posts inflicted pain that was not based in truth or reality.

Scott Wolf had previously shared concerns about Kelley planning to make "false allegations" against him during their divorce proceedings, calling such claims "baseless and incredibly dangerous," particularly for their children. A July 2025 agreement granted him temporary sole physical custody.

Wolf directly apologized to their children, Jackson, 17, Miller, 13, and Lucy Marie, 12, acknowledging her failure to protect and keep them safe, and stating that she became the "cause of your heartbreak."

She expressed gratitude for her family's support during her illness, saying, "You never gave up on me, and you fought like hell until you landed me in safe harbor. I owe you my life."

Scott Wolf responded to Kelley's apology post with five heart emojis. Kelley Wolf is working with doctors, therapists, psychologists, and healers to manage her condition.
