Keke Palmer has spoken about her "genuine" chemistry with “Hot Ones” host Sean Evans, stating that their connection is authentic and not something that could be manufactured.

During an appearance on “Today” with Jenna & Sheinelle on Monday, Palmer addressed questions about her relationship with Evans. "Our chemistry is genuine… I couldn't force that if I tried," she said. Palmer also noted that they "always felt that chemistry."

The actress described their relationship as a natural progression from their professional interactions. "We met at work. We had chemistry. Work husband, work wife. You just have that chemistry with people. Then, we hang out," Palmer explained, referencing a dinner date they had last month.

When asked about the public's enthusiasm for their relationship, Palmer responded with humor, "I was gagged that everybody was ready to marry me off." She added, "Guys, let it cook! They married your girl off in two seconds!"

Palmer confirmed that she and Evans are "hanging out" and are taking things "day by day, one wing at a time, so to speak." She also emphasized the importance of not letting "parasocial" fan perceptions dictate her personal decisions, advocating for critical thinking about what is seen.

The couple first met in 2017 when Palmer was a guest on Evans' talk show. They reunited for another episode of “Hot Ones” four years later. Palmer's third appearance on the show last year included a moment where she asked Evans for a "quick smooch," which they shared on camera, further fueling speculation.

Romance rumors intensified in May following flirty banter during an episode of Palmer's podcast, "Baby, This Is Keke Palmer." The pair were later seen enjoying a dinner date in Brooklyn on June 12, reportedly at the Italian restaurant Lucali. An eyewitness described them as "locked in" on each other, with the YouTuber described as "smitten."
