HGTV alum Keith Bynum has voiced his anger toward the network with a recent expletive-laden message posted on his Instagram story. Bynum, 39, who starred in the show "Bargain Block," shared a selfie from a partially constructed home, writing, "Soooo happy to see this house almost done after getting royally f***ed by HGTV. Like a phoenix from the ashes it rises." The post quickly garnered attention on social media among his 146,000 followers.

"Bargain Block," which focused on Bynum and his boyfriend Evan Thomas renovating rundown properties in Detroit into affordable homes, was canceled by HGTV in June 2025 after four seasons. The show originally aired from April 2021 to September 2025. The cancellation was part of a broader network scheduling change that also affected other shows like "Married to Real Estate," "Farmhouse Fixer," "Izzy Does It," and "Battle on the Beach."

Following the cancellation, Bynum and Thomas released a statement indicating their business had been "derailed" by the decision. They expressed their commitment to continuing their work despite the setback, acknowledging the unpredictable nature of television. "Everyone always told us TV is a fickle world and they are very right," they stated. "TV is full of a lot of great people but it's also full of some of the worst people I've ever encountered."
