Keeley Hawes Embraces Vintage Style at Goodwood Festival

Keeley Hawes stepped back in time with her fashion choice for the Goodwood Festival over the weekend, opting for a 1940s-inspired vintage green tailored blazer jacket and a matching skirt.

The actress, 50, completed her ensemble with black heels, a stylish black hat, and distinctive sunglasses.

During the festival, Hawes was accompanied by her makeup artist Justine Jenkins. The pair later changed into swimming costumes and dressing gowns for a cold plunge.

After enjoying some champagne, Hawes took time to enjoy a five-star meal before watching the races.

This appearance follows Hawes' recent sharing of rare photos with her husband, Matthew Macfadyen, from a holiday in Turkey the previous month. The couple stayed at The Peninsula hotel in Istanbul, with Hawes posting highlights from their trip on Instagram. One photo captured the couple on a boat trip, with Hawes wearing a white and blue patterned co-ord set, a baseball cap, and sunglasses.

Another image showed Macfadyen during a romantic dinner date. Hawes and Macfadyen first met on the set of the television series Spooks in 2002, 24 years ago. They celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary in November, with Hawes marking the occasion on Instagram.

Speaking to You Magazine, Hawes reflected on their long marriage, stating that it doesn't feel like 21 years and that they simply enjoy each other's company. She noted that as they get older, they become more relaxed and prioritize spending time together, particularly through travel, now that their children have left home. She also acknowledged that while ups and downs are normal in any marriage, they are very happy.

Their relationship journey was not without its challenges, as Macfadyen previously described falling in love with Hawes as an "awful" experience. At the time, Hawes was married to DJ Spencer McCallum, with whom she has a 25-year-old son, Myles. Macfadyen recounted in 2005 that he was in turmoil upon realizing his feelings for a married woman, explaining that it was a gradual process but that he was aware of the profound effect she had on him.
