Keegan Allen Shares Update After Gunpoint Robbery in West Hollywood
The 'Pretty Little Liars' actor posted a photo of stitches above his eye, thanking medical staff and law enforcement.
Actor Keegan Allen has provided an update to fans following a robbery at gunpoint in West Hollywood. Allen, known for his role as Toby Cavanaugh in "Pretty Little Liars," shared a photo on Instagram showing four stitches above his eye, stating that he is "healing."
In his Saturday post, Allen expressed gratitude to medical personnel and law enforcement, adding that he would provide more details soon. The incident occurred Thursday evening in West Hollywood. Allen had previously posted a video of blood on his face, describing the event on Instagram. "West Hollywood is not safe anymore," he wrote. "Robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint by two young men that threatened to KILL me over my watch and would have! God said no tonight. My life for a watch."
Allen also called on officials, including Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom, to find the perpetrators, questioning the effectiveness of surveillance cameras in deterring crime.
According to a statement from the West Hollywood Sheriff's Department, two male suspects dressed in black clothing approached Allen around 9:05 p.m. on Santa Monica Boulevard. One suspect allegedly brandished a silver handgun, while the other displayed a knife and demanded Allen's watch and bracelet. Allen reported being struck in the face with the handgun before the suspects fled in an unknown vehicle with his belongings. Deputies noted Allen sustained a laceration to his forehead but did not require hospitalization at the scene.
In the comment section of his Instagram post, Allen mentioned that he had indeed gone to the hospital and was "definitely concussed," reiterating his sentiment that West Hollywood is "unsafe."
Allen, 37, played Toby Cavanaugh from 2010 to 2017 and has since appeared in "Walker" and an episode of "The Rookie."
