Kaye Adams Returns to Radio Seven Months After BBC Exit

Kaye Adams is set to return to radio just seven months after her departure from BBC Radio Scotland. The broadcaster, who was removed from her long-running 'Mornings With' program in October 2025 following an internal investigation, will co-host a one-off show on STV Radio with veteran broadcaster Shereen Nanjiani.

The special edition of 'Sunday Brunch' is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, from 9 a.m. to noon. This appearance represents Adams' most prominent return to live radio since her exit from BBC Scotland, where she had spent 15 years hosting the flagship morning program. Adams was reportedly earning £155,000 per year from her BBC role.

A source close to Adams told the Daily Mail that she was "thrilled" by the offer after a "difficult year." While Adams has remained engaged with television work and a podcast, she has expressed a desire to return to radio more regularly, considering it her "passion" and being "devastated when it was taken away." The STV Radio appearance is seen as a potential starting point for new opportunities.

Adams, 63, and Nanjiani, 64, plan to guide listeners through a curated playlist of songs while sharing their perspectives on life, work, and current events. Adams has a history with STV, having worked there as a reporter in 1988 before moving into presenting roles on 'Scotland Today' and the discussion program 'Scottish Women.'

Adams shared her enthusiasm for returning to STV, stating it holds a "special place in her heart." She expressed delight in reuniting with Nanjiani, recalling their early days at the station. Nanjiani also conveyed her excitement, noting that STV was the place where their "lifelong friendship began." Both broadcasters have been reminiscing and selecting songs for the show, anticipating sharing stories, including "embarrassing ones."

In August, Adams reflected on her time at BBC Radio Scotland, admitting she should have left the program earlier. She confided in Vanessa Feltz on her YouTube show that she had been "very unhappy" and regretted not making decisions to leave sooner due to fear. Adams was removed from her BBC Radio Scotland show in October 2025 amid misconduct complaints, including allegations of swearing at a colleague, throwing a pen, and berating an intern.

In February, it was confirmed that Adams would not return to the BBC, as the corporation reportedly upheld some allegations while dismissing others. Adams had previously issued a statement on Instagram denying the allegations, calling them "attacks on my character" and expressing her heartbreak that her 15 years of work were being reduced to these claims. ITV has continued to feature Adams as a regular on 'Loose Women' following the dispute.
