Kaye Adams Returns to Radio Seven Months After BBC Departure

Kaye Adams is set to return to radio, co-hosting a special edition of Sunday Brunch on STV Radio with veteran broadcaster Shereen Nanjiani. The one-off show is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, airing from 9 a.m. to noon.

This appearance marks Adams' most prominent comeback to live radio approximately seven months after her departure from BBC Radio Scotland. She had been a host on the station's Mornings With program for 15 years before her exit in October 2025, following an internal investigation.

Adams, 63, and Nanjiani, 64, plan to play a selection of their favorite songs and discuss topics related to life, work, and current events. Adams expressed enthusiasm about returning to STV, a station where she previously worked as a reporter in 1988 and later as a presenter on Scotland Today and the discussion show Scottish Women.

"STV has such a special place in my heart and I'm delighted to be back for a trip down memory lane with my old pal, Shereen 'The Screen Queen' Nanjiani," Adams stated. "This show will give her the chance to tell everyone how excruciating my accent was when I walked into STV HQ 38 years ago."

Nanjiani added, "I’m delighted to get this chance to co-host with Kaye as STV is where our lifelong friendship began, and I have so many happy memories of our time there. We’ve had a lot of fun reminiscing and choosing a great playlist of our favourite songs for the show. I’m looking forward to sharing our stories with listeners – even the embarrassing ones."

In August, Adams reflected on her BBC tenure, admitting she perhaps should have left her role earlier. She shared in a conversation on Vanessa Feltz's YouTube show that she had been "very unhappy" and regretted not making changes sooner, citing fear as a reason for staying.

Adams was removed from her BBC Radio Scotland show amid misconduct allegations, including claims of swearing at a colleague, throwing a pen, and berating an intern. In February, it was confirmed she would not return to the BBC, as some allegations were reportedly upheld while others were dismissed.

Adams previously issued a statement on Instagram denying the allegations, calling them "attacks on my character." She specifically refuted claims of using a misogynistic slur and berating an intern, stating that she was "heartbroken" for her 15 years of work at BBC Scotland to be defined by these claims.

Despite the circumstances of her BBC departure, ITV has continued to feature Adams as a regular panelist on the show Loose Women.
