Katy Perry Supports Selena Gomez at Rare Impact Fund Benefit
The singer sported a daring plunging black dress at the Los Angeles event aimed at supporting mental health advocacy.
Katy Perry attended the fourth annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles on Wednesday, drawing attention in a plunging little black dress. The event, hosted by Selena Gomez, supports mental health advocacy and services.
Perry, 41, opted for a daring cut-out black number with cream bow detailing, appearing to go braless. She kept accessories minimal, choosing simple diamond studs to complement her center-parted raven hair. Perry was photographed on the pink carpet before taking her seat inside the Hollywood Palladium.
Inside, Perry mingled with guests including actress America Ferrera and Gomez's husband, Benny Blanco. The Rare Impact Fund, launched by Gomez in 2020 alongside her beauty line Rare Beauty, aims to raise $100 million over ten years for mental health initiatives. To date, the fund has reportedly raised $30 million.
Gomez, 34, has been open about her own mental health journey, having been diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2018. She has since used her platform to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.
Perry's appearance at the benefit comes after she was seen with boyfriend Justin Trudeau at a recent art museum opening. The couple, who vacationed together in Europe over the summer, have been dating for over a year and made their red carpet debut in June. Perry has described herself as being "very in love" and feeling more grounded in her relationship.
