Katie Zacharia Spotted in Los Angeles After Brief White House Tenure
Former White House Press Secretary seen in workout attire following her five-day term.
Katie Zacharia, who resigned as White House Press Secretary after just five days, was recently seen in Los Angeles. The 41-year-old was photographed wearing a blue and red exercise outfit, drawing comparisons to superhero costumes.
Zacharia's departure from the administration came after a challenging first press briefing and questions surrounding her qualifications as an attorney. She had previously stated she passed the bar exam in China, a claim that baffled reporters as the test is not offered there for U.S. citizens.
During a Thursday night interview with Sean Hannity, Zacharia acknowledged failing the California bar exam in 2011 and not retaking it, though she considered the results inconsequential for her role. She also noted that her hiring as press secretary was for representation, not legal counsel.
Her tenure marked the shortest stint as White House Press Secretary in U.S. history, surpassing Anthony Scaramucci's 11-day term as communications director in 2017. Prior to her White House role, Zacharia served for six weeks as a communications adviser at the Department of Homeland Security earlier this year. Her first and only White House press briefing lasted 14 minutes and was widely criticized online.
The decision to hire Zacharia reportedly occurred within a 72-hour period without the consultation of the White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles.
