Katie Zacharia Offered White House Press Secretary Role
Former Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Katie Zacharia has been offered the position of White House press secretary, sources familiar with the matter told The Post.

Katie Zacharia, who previously served as a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security, has been offered the role of White House press secretary. Zacharia, a former guest on Fox News, is currently with Fix California, an organization focused on advancing the conservative agenda.
Zacharia spent approximately three months at the Department of Homeland Security in early 2026, departing the agency after Markwayne Mullin became secretary. During her tenure at DHS, she was reported to have a close working relationship with then-Secretary Kristi Noem and her special adviser Corey Lewandowski.
If Zacharia accepts the position, it could potentially alter the dynamics within President Trump's inner circle, given the long-standing disagreements between Lewandowski and Grenell with White House chief of staff Susie Wiles.
A mother of four, Zacharia previously cited the long commute from California as the reason for her departure from DHS, stating it placed a strain on her family. Her background in Republican politics includes an internship with the Republican National Committee during her college years and a role in the White House Office of Political Affairs during George W. Bush's second term.
