Katie Price was seen in Liverpool on Tuesday, wearing her wedding ring, in the wake of reports that her husband, Lee Andrews, has been arrested again in Dubai. This alleged re-arrest comes approximately one month after Andrews' release from Al Awir prison.
Price, a former glamour model and television personality, appeared somber as she walked through the city. She was seen wearing a pink tank top and grey shorts, with her head down. Earlier that day, she was spotted with her son, Harvey, checking into a Travelodge hotel.
Andrews, who identifies as a millionaire businessman, has reportedly been detained again in Dubai. While his legal troubles have been a frequent topic, reports have also circulated about his appearance. Journalist Ellie Henman, who has faced legal threats from Andrews regarding exposés about his alleged behavior, claimed that Andrews had his hairpiece removed and his thinning hair shaved upon his arrival at Al Awir prison, citing concerns over lice.
Sources suggest Andrews is claiming he will be released soon, having allegedly raised the £120,000 fine he faced. A source told The Sun that Andrews had informed a friend, "They’ve arrested me. Katie might need to bail me out. We need to make a noise with a Go Fund Me." The source added that Andrews had been stressed in the days prior to his arrest, as he believed he owed money.
Price has recently been in the UK, following the release of her Sky documentary and an appearance on "This Morning," where she defended her marriage. The couple has experienced a turbulent period in recent months. Andrews was previously released from Al Awir prison four weeks prior to these latest reports, having been detained on fraud allegations. He maintains he was captured at gunpoint and suspected of espionage.
Andrews has denied fraud charges and criticized his ex-fiancée Alana Percival for spreading such stories. He claimed he was taken to the Qatar border at gunpoint and apprehended by armed men. He also faces accusations from multiple ex-partners of financial deception.
Prior to his alleged re-arrest, Andrews had seemingly disappeared, with Price initially stating he had been kidnapped. It later emerged he was being held in Dubai's Al Awir prison. In January, it was reported that Andrews had taken out a £200,000 mortgage in his ex-partner Dina Taji's name without her knowledge, leading to legal action and a travel ban from Dubai. Taji has reportedly met with Price to warn her about her husband.
Another ex-partner, Crystal Janke, claimed Andrews had persuaded her to hand over £123,000 for an investment in his company with the promise of a £1 million return. Percival has also issued warnings on social media. Andrews has denied these allegations.
