Katie Price has reportedly ended her eight-month marriage to husband Lee Andrews, with sources citing a significant financial discrepancy as the catalyst. The former glamour model discovered that an account her husband claimed held £37 million in cryptocurrency contained only £2.22, according to reports from The Sun and Daily Mail.
Price, 48, is said to have sent Andrews, 43, a WhatsApp message stating, "I have been played and you are not who you say you are. Why have you lied to me?" Sources close to the situation indicated that the financial revelation was the final straw in an already tumultuous relationship.
The reports suggest that Andrews had provided Price with a crypto wallet's recovery phrase, promising her access to a portion of the funds. However, upon having a financial expert access the wallet, it was found to contain approximately $3, or £2.22. The most the account reportedly held on any single day in March was $14,490 (£10,720), which was transferred out the same day.
Price was pictured wearing her wedding ring just hours before the reported split, while vacationing in Marbella, Spain. She was seen with friends, including reality star Chloe Ferry, and posted a video on Instagram captioned "walking to my new adventures."
Andrews, described as a controversial businessman, is currently reported to be back in a Dubai jail and may be struggling to afford his release. Price has reportedly stated she has no plans to see him.
The marriage has been marked by several challenges, including prison stints for Andrews, alleged kidnapping, and accusations of deception towards his ex-partners. Price had previously expressed her intention to hold her husband accountable for actions that harmed others, mentioning on her podcast a plan to have the show's producer interview him for a deep dive into his affairs.
