Katie Price Reaffirms Relationship Status Amid Ex-Husband's Acquittal
Price spotted wearing wedding ring after Kieran Hayler was cleared of rape charges; Price's representative states they are not back together.
Katie Price was seen wearing her wedding ring on Thursday, marking her first public appearance since her ex-husband Kieran Hayler was acquitted of rape charges. Price, 48, was photographed with her son Harvey, 24, on the same day it became known that she and estranged husband Lee Andrews were following each other on social media again, weeks after Price confirmed their separation.
Andrews has also been observed wearing his wedding ring in social media posts and has refollowed Price on Instagram. Last month, reports indicated that Price had informed Andrews via text of her desire to split, following the discovery that he had only £2.22 in his bank account despite claiming to be a millionaire. Price had reportedly been preparing for a potentially contentious divorce, making her recent actions surprising to some.
Price, who had previously deleted all photos of herself and Andrews, 42, from her social media, has hinted at improved relations between the two. However, when approached for comment, a representative for Price stated that, to their knowledge, Price and Andrews are not back together. Andrews has since made his social media page private, now only following Price.
On Thursday, Hayler, 39, was cleared of raping a 13-year-old schoolgirl in West Sussex in 2016. The jury reached majority verdicts after deliberating for nearly 15 hours at Lewes Crown Court. Hayler, of Northchapel, West Sussex, was visibly emotional upon his release from the dock. He was acquitted of three counts of rape, sexual assault, and four alternative charges related to sexual activity with a child.
Hayler and Price married in January 2013 after he proposed on Christmas Day in 2012. They separated in 2018 and divorced three years later. During the proceedings, Hayler accused Price of fabricating allegations as part of a smear campaign, a claim Price denied.
Amidst Hayler's trial, Price was reportedly dealing with Andrews, who had been detained twice in Dubai's Al-Awir jail this year on fraud charges. Andrews posted on social media confirming his release from jail and expressing his intention to leave the country. He spoke of a "terrible ordeal" and the necessity of shaving his head, appearing to confess to some wrongdoing while urging others not to oppose "the system."
Price and Andrews parted ways in early September after eight months of marriage when she discovered his minimal bank balance. Andrews had previously claimed to have $50 million in a cryptocurrency account. Price stated that Andrews had "scammed her heart" by fabricating a persona rather than defrauding her of money.
Following their split, Andrews appeared to criticize Price by sharing a song with lyrics about loneliness and making a swipe at her. He changed his social media bio from "Katie Price's Husband" to "Britain's Bad Boy" and liked a post about Price's upcoming television appearance. Andrews also reactivated his Cameo account, offering personalized video messages for a fee.
