Katie Price Poised to Regain Driving License After Seventh Ban

Katie Price has announced that her driving ban is nearing its end, marking the first time in years she expects to regain her license. The television personality has faced multiple driving disqualifications, with her latest six-month ban stemming from ignored police correspondence regarding an 80mph speeding ticket.

Speaking on her podcast, 'The Katie Price Show,' she expressed anticipation for her license's return, stating, "Not long until I get my driving licence!" She added that the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has sent her an application form and she is awaiting its completion. Price acknowledged the challenge of securing insurance for vehicles, even for a small car, but expressed a willingness to drive anything from a Fiat 500 to a moped to resume daily activities like shopping and appointments.

Price's driving record includes numerous convictions and bans. She was first banned for six months in December 2010 for a speeding offense. Subsequent disqualifications followed in 2012 for failing to respond to speeding tickets, and a six-month ban in February 2018 for speeding. In early 2019, she received a three-month ban for driving while disqualified. Later that year, she was convicted of being in charge of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and also for failing to disclose the driver's identity after a car crash, leading to an 18-month ban. In 2021, she received a suspended prison sentence and a two-year ban for drink-driving while disqualified and uninsured.

Most recently, in 2024, Price was fined for driving without a license and insurance but avoided a ban for those specific offenses. In parallel with her driving license issues, Price recently confirmed the end of her marriage to Lee Andrews, whom she described as a "conman" after discovering he had minimal funds despite claiming to be a millionaire. Andrews, currently in prison in Dubai, has acknowledged the divorce, stating it is "for the best."
