Katie Price has initiated divorce proceedings against her husband, Lee Andrews, after reportedly discovering he had a mere £2.22 in his bank account, despite his assertions of being a millionaire. Friends and family have expressed relief following the former glamour model's decision to end the marriage.

Sources close to Price, 48, state that her marriage of eight months has already cost her well in excess of £100,000, factoring in gifts and travel expenses to Dubai. This figure does not include any funds she may have transferred to support his business ventures. Despite warnings from Andrews' ex-girlfriends, Price remained committed to the relationship until the recent discovery.

Andrews, a businessman, had reportedly claimed to possess £37 million in a cryptocurrency account and allegedly provided Price with a recovery phrase to access it. Upon investigation with a financial expert, it was revealed the account held only $3, or £2.22. It is believed Andrews is currently in a Dubai jail and may be facing difficulties in securing funds for his release.

Price's final communication to Andrews, 43, via WhatsApp is reported to have been: "I have been played and you are not who you say you are. Why have you lied to me?" She has no plans to see him.

Despite a period where she wore her wedding ring, including at Manchester Pride, Price has since been seen without it. She was recently photographed partying in Marbella with friends, including reality star Chloe Ferry, with her ring finger visibly bare.

Price's relationship with Andrews has been marked by reported incidents including prison stints, accusations of kidnapping, and claims of scamming ex-partners. While she publicly supported him, her recent social media posts suggest a period of personal difficulty. One Instagram post featured a quote stating, "My side of the story doesn't matter anymore. Life happened, it hurt, I healed, but most importantly, I learned who deserves a seat at my table and who will never sit at it again."

It is reported that Andrews remains incarcerated, contrary to earlier claims of his release in July following fraud allegations. Sources suggest his fellow inmates are reportedly tired of his alleged dishonesty. Prior to this marriage, Price had been divorced three times. In 2019, she sought repayment from former husbands Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler for a reported £2 million she claimed to have spent on them.
