Katie Price has vehemently denied claims that her husband, Lee Andrews, planned to sell a sex tape of the couple, stating she feels "upset and humiliated" by the allegations. Andrews, 43, was reportedly arrested again in Dubai last week, just a month after his release from Al Awir prison.
Reports emerged of a voice note allegedly sent by Andrews to a friend, in which he reportedly discussed selling a tape for £250,000 to quickly raise funds. According to these reports, he mentioned needing "cash quickly" and suggested the tape could fetch a significant sum. The claims were first reported by The Sun, which stated that Andrews backtracked when informed that selling such material without consent would be illegal, reportedly saying he was "only joking" and that they had OnlyFans for their content.
Price issued a statement refuting the claims, calling the story "completely untrue" and asserting that "such serious and false allegations have been shared publicly without any factual basis." She added that the "tape which does not exist and never will" and that the material was passed on by a third party and "does not reflect reality."
"I feel incredibly upset, abused and humiliated that such serious and false allegations have been shared publicly without any factual basis," Price's statement read.
This latest development comes amid a tumultuous period for Andrews in Dubai. His father, Peter, was reportedly also taken to the same prison on suspicion of fraud. Katie Price had previously communicated with Peter Andrews when his son first went missing in May, and he had confirmed his son's arrest to the Daily Mail.
Sources suggest Price is nearing her breaking point with her husband's legal troubles, with friends reportedly urging her to leave him. "Both Lee and his dad are now behind bars, in the same prison," a source told The Sun. "Lee maintains his innocence, and is hoping to pay off his outstanding debts and get out of that hell hole as quickly as possible."
Andrews was released from prison last month after being detained on fraud allegations, though he has maintained his innocence, claiming he was captured at gunpoint and suspected of espionage. He has also been accused by several ex-partners of financial deception, which he has denied.
Andrews is reportedly bragging about his impending release, claiming to have raised the £120,000 fine he faced. He had allegedly told a friend that Katie might need to bail him out and that they should "make a noise with a GoFundMe."
Previously, Andrews had been the subject of a travel ban from Dubai after his ex-fiancée, Dina Taji, took legal action against him for taking out a £200,000 mortgage in her name without her knowledge. Other ex-partners have also accused him of financial misconduct.
Price is currently in the UK, having recently appeared on "This Morning" to defend her marriage after the release of her Sky documentary.
