Katie Price and MP Suella Braverman to be Chained Together for Reality Show

Television personality Katie Price and Member of Parliament Suella Braverman are set to be chained together for Channel 4's reality show "Celebrity Handcuffed." The pair have already begun filming for the new series, which aims to explore whether individuals with contrasting perspectives can find common ground when forced into close proximity.

The show chains participants with differing world views together, requiring them to live, sleep, and even bathe as a pair to assess their ability to coexist. Filming for this season commenced on a Monday, with production keeping the full lineup under wraps to prevent participants from knowing their assigned partners in advance.

A source close to the production indicated that the pairing of Price and Braverman is expected to be contentious but also holds potential for unexpected commonalities. "Katie and Suella should prove to be a contentious match but may end up finding common ground," the source told The Sun. "Obviously Katie is known for her outrageous life, whilst former Tory Home Secretary Suella has her own strong opinions too."

Despite their differing public personas, the source suggested that shared experiences as mothers and public figures might offer a basis for connection. "But they are both mothers and have spoken about juggling a high-profile life with parenthood so may connect on that struggle," the source added.

Suella Braverman serves as the MP for Fareham and Waterlooville. She previously held the position of Home Secretary for the Conservative Party from September 2022 to November 2023. In January, Braverman announced her defection to Reform UK, becoming the fourth sitting Conservative MP to do so since the General Election. She has since been appointed to Nigel Farage's frontbench team as spokesperson for Education, Skills and Equalities.

Braverman recently drew attention during an appearance on BBC's Question Time, where she stated she is British but not English due to her "Asian origin." She has also been vocal about her concerns regarding the state of the country, stating in January that "Britain is indeed broken. She is suffering. She is not well. Immigration is out of control. Our public services are on their knees. People don't feel safe."

Katie Price, conversely, has previously stated that she has never voted in an election. She did, however, run as an independent candidate in the 2001 general election as a publicity stunt in the Stretford and Urmston constituency, ultimately polling just over 700 votes. In 2016, Price expressed confusion regarding the EU referendum vote, stating her indecision on how to vote and the impact on her son's future and the NHS.
