Katie Lee Biegel, ex-wife of musician Billy Joel, has shared an account of an unpleasant encounter with actor Chevy Chase. Biegel recounted the incident on her podcast, "All on the Table with Katie Lee Biegel," detailing how Chase allegedly shooed her away when she offered him a Jell-O shot.

The television personality and cookbook author stated the event occurred during her marriage to Joel, which lasted from 2004 to 2009. She explained that she and Joel hosted a party at a house they intended to demolish after the summer. The gathering, described as a "tear-the-house-down party, keg party," was well-attended and included Jell-O shots.

According to Biegel, Chase, who was present with his wife, appeared to mistake her for catering staff. "My ex-husband was standing talking to Chevy Chase and his wife and I had a tray of Jell-O shots," Biegel said. "And I went up with the tray of Jell-O shots and said, ‘Do you guys want a shot?’ and Chevy thought that I was the staff at the party."

She added, "And he took his hand and shooed me away."

A representative for Chase did not immediately respond to a request for comment, according to the New York Post.

Chase has a documented history of alleged difficult interactions on set. Former colleagues from projects such as "Saturday Night Live" and "Community" have spoken publicly about clashes with the actor over the years.

Biegel also shared a positive celebrity encounter, recalling Jon Stewart as being "lovelier" and "so nice" during a summer in 2003 when she was working at a fish market in Sag Harbor.
