Kate Moss Enjoys Lunch Amid Sister's Revelations About Their Estranged Relationship
The supermodel was photographed at an al fresco lunch in London shortly after her sister Lottie Moss detailed their strained relationship.
Supermodel Kate Moss was seen enjoying an al fresco lunch in London this week, a day after her younger sister, Lottie Moss, spoke candidly about their distant relationship. Kate, 52, was photographed outside Lemonia Restaurant in North London, dressed stylishly in a black Dior jacket and Levi's jeans, carrying two vapes and a Louis Vuitton Magazine. She was also seen taking a phone call during her outing.
IMAGE2 The outing comes as Lottie Moss, 28, revealed on Olivia Attwood's podcast, Olivia's House, that she and her half-sister have "next to no relationship." Lottie described feeling "bitter and embarrassed" that Kate, who is 24 years her senior, seemingly ignored her texts and calls while she was growing up. She explained that they "grew up in different times" and have "just didn't really ever bond."
IMAGE8 Lottie, an influencer, further elaborated that while she always admired her older sister and craved a closer connection, she learned to accept their limited relationship. "Every time I text or called I didn't hear anything back, so that was that," Lottie stated. She added that she has found familial bonds through her friends, stating, "I've learned now that I've got friends that are like my family and that it's OK that I don't need to have that relationship."
IMAGE7 Despite their strained relationship, the sisters have been seen together at family gatherings. As recently as last month, they attended their father Peter Moss's 80th birthday lunch with their brother Nick. Photographs from the event were shared on social media, showing Kate and Lottie posing with their father.
Lottie first publicly commented on their distant relationship in 2013, noting that she "doesn't really know" her older half-sister. The sisters were once closer; Lottie was a bridesmaid at Kate's wedding and lived with her in her Cotswolds mansion during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, tensions reportedly arose due to Lottie's past struggles with drug use, which clashed with Kate's efforts to adopt a healthier lifestyle. An insider suggested that Kate became frustrated with Lottie's desire to drink and her social media activity, and found it difficult to be around drug use, referencing Kate's past nickname "Cocaine Kate" from her relationship with Pete Doherty in 2005.
