Kate Middleton Shares Update on Prince George as He Attends Eton College
The Princess of Wales expressed that she misses her eldest son and is looking forward to his return for school break.
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has shared that she is looking forward to Prince George’s return home from Eton College for a school break, admitting she misses her eldest son. Middleton made the comments on Thursday during a visit to a shopping center in Hoveton, England, in her capacity as patron of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
One shopper told Hello! magazine that Middleton said she is “looking forward to George coming home, she’s missed him.” The shopper also indicated that the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children, “may be going somewhere” during the upcoming school holiday.
When a young child mentioned it was his last day of school before the half-term break, Middleton reportedly responded, “My children break up tomorrow and I can’t wait to have them all home.”
Prince George began his studies at Eton College, the prestigious boarding school also attended by his father, Prince William, on September 8. Photos from his first day showed the royal couple walking with their 13-year-old son into the Berkshire school.
William attended Eton College from 1995 to 2000, while his brother, Prince Harry, was a student there from 1998 to 2003. Prince George’s younger siblings, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, currently attend Lambrook School in Berkshire.
In June, a spokesperson for Kensington Palace confirmed that George would be attending Eton College, following in his father's academic path.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield had previously noted that George's biggest challenge at Eton would be managing his privacy in the era of social media, contrasting his experience with that of his father and uncle, who attended the school before the widespread influence of platforms like TikTok.
