Kate Ferdinand recently traveled to London to visit her stepsons, Lorenz and Tate, a move she described as a way to alleviate 'step-mum' guilt following her family's relocation to Dubai. Ferdinand, 35, and her husband Rio Ferdinand, 47, moved to the United Arab Emirates last year, leaving their eldest sons, Lorenz, 19, and Tate, 18, in the UK to pursue their football careers with Brighton & Hove Albion's U21 team.

The family reunion included dinners and attending the boys' football matches. Kate shared photos of their time together, including one of her hugging Tate by the pitch. She also noted a tattoo on Tate's arm with the phrase 'One of five,' a tribute to his siblings.

Ferdinand had previously spoken on Instagram about the challenges of raising children in two different countries. She admitted to struggling with guilt and missing the family being together under one roof. She also revealed her efforts to present a more authentic version of her life on social media, acknowledging the doubts, setbacks, and self-discovery involved in building businesses and navigating motherhood.

Her posts also touched on personal challenges, including a year-long battle with adult acne that impacted her confidence and her efforts to embrace a more natural appearance. Ferdinand explained that she had to adjust her expectations regarding work and fitness, recognizing the impossibility of doing everything and the risk of burnout. She emphasized a focus on overall well-being, which fluctuates week to week.

The Ferdinand family relocated to Dubai in August of the previous year. At the time, Kate expressed her longing for home and the difficulty of being separated from her older sons, though she understood their career pursuits. She also shared insights into their experience of living in Dubai during Ramadan, noting the shorter school days for the younger children and the unique cultural and religious atmosphere.

Kate stated that all five children are her priority and expressed pride in raising them.
