Kate Ferdinand and her husband Rio Ferdinand have shared sun-soaked photographs from their holiday in Ibiza, where they are vacationing with friends.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 35, was photographed in a lime green bikini with white lace trousers during a boat outing. The couple appeared affectionate, with Rio Ferdinand, a former professional footballer, pictured with his arm around Kate.
Earlier in the week, the couple was seen at O Beach Ibiza, where Kate Ferdinand sported a pink Burberry bikini. Rio Ferdinand commented on the social media posts, describing the day as "stunning" and mentioning friends Dean and Danielle Forbes, who are involved with the Forbes Family Group charity foundation.
The couple's holiday comes after Kate Ferdinand addressed public perceptions of their relationship, including accusations that she married Rio for money. In a previous interview, she stated, "People think I'm a gold digger, I'm with him for money. I'm basically his nanny that he doesn't pay."
She also added, "I always say if I wanted to pick a rich man I could have picked a lot easier one without all the kids. If it was just a money thing, it's true though. I'm here because I love you, there are great things and there are hard things."
Rio Ferdinand has also spoken about the challenges of their blended family. He acknowledged the difficulties Kate has faced since their relationship began in 2016, as she became a stepmother to his three children from his first marriage, Lorenz, Tate, and Tia, and later welcomed two children together, Cree and Shae.
He reflected on his own experience as a single parent after the death of his wife Rebecca, and then the subsequent death of his mother, before Kate entered their lives. Ferdinand described their family formation as a period of change and adaptation, emphasizing the importance of allowing Kate to parent and establishing trust and boundaries within their blended family dynamic.
