Notes prepared by FBI Director Kash Patel for a Tuesday oversight hearing on Capitol Hill revealed critical points aimed at Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.). One page of Patel's notes was titled "DURBIN INFO," featuring several jabs concerning the Illinois senator and his wife, Loretta Schaefer Durbin.
According to the notes, one point asserted that Durbin's wealth had "increased 364% since 1997." Another line stated, "Wife has lobbying conflicts." Schaefer Durbin established a lobbying firm in 1977 and later founded a leadership institute in Illinois aimed at training Democratic women for political office.
