Model Karlie Kloss has reiterated her Democratic affiliation, emphasizing that personal relationships can coexist with political differences. In a recent interview with Bloomberg Originals, Kloss addressed her connection to the Trump family through her husband, Josh Kushner, who is the brother of Jared Kushner, husband to Ivanka Trump.

"I'm a Democrat. It's possible to have relationships with people who you politically don't align with," Kloss stated. "And I think this country has always been a place for dialogue. We have to be able to talk to each other."

The 33-year-old model asserted her strong sense of self and values, noting, "I know who I am. I know the values that guide my life and the issues that I care about. So, you know, I haven't lost sight of who I am, but also, it's my husband's family."

Kloss mentioned her upbringing in St. Louis, which she described as a "blue dot in a red state," exposed her to diverse political viewpoints from a young age, which she believes prepared her for navigating such dynamics. She also clarified that she has never met former President Donald Trump.

This is not the first time Kloss has spoken about her political leanings. In 2016, she stated she voted as a Democrat and planned to do so in 2020. She married Josh Kushner in October 2018, and his brother Jared has been married to Ivanka Trump since 2009.

In 2020, following the events at the U.S. Capitol, Kloss tweeted, "accepting the results of a legitimate democratic election is patriotic [and] refusing to do so and inciting violence is anti-American." When a social media user urged her to tell her family members, she responded, "I've tried."

While Kloss and Josh Kushner were notably absent from Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner's 10th-anniversary celebration in 2019, sources have indicated that despite not being "best friends," the couples maintain a civil relationship. They were seen together during a family vacation in Costa Rica in April 2025, presenting a united front.
