Kardashian and Barker Embrace Gothic Style for Son's Vampire-Themed Birthday

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker recently embraced a gothic aesthetic for a lavish 'vampire ball' celebrating Barker's son Landon's 23rd birthday. The reality TV star, 47, and the Blink-182 drummer, 50, were among the attendees at the themed party over the weekend.

Barker shared glimpses of their costumes on his Instagram Stories on Sunday. Kardashian wore a low-cut lace dress paired with a black cross necklace, while both she and Barker sported fake blood trickling from the corners of their mouths. Barker complemented his wife in an all-black ensemble, and his son, Landon, opted for a full leather look.

Landon, whose mother is Barker's ex-wife Shanna Moakler, also shared photos from the event on his Instagram, crediting photographer Maxamillion Polo. The birthday boy captioned his post with a lyric from the Blink-182 song "What's My Age Again?" - "Nobody likes you when you’re 23." He posted images of himself blowing out candles on a black birthday cake and posing with his father and stepmother.

Last year, Kardashian and Barker channeled characters from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" for Halloween, with the couple dressing as Jack Skellington and Sally. Paris Hilton also sent birthday wishes to Landon in the comments.

The celebratory outing follows a recent health update from Travis Barker. He shared on Wednesday that he underwent surgery to address numbness in his arm, hand, and fingers, which had been persistent since a performance the previous month. Barker explained that a nerve test revealed the need for a cubital tunnel release to repair the nerve.

He expressed his intention to address the issue proactively to ensure his ability to continue playing music. Barker anticipates a recovery period of a few weeks. He humorously noted his wife's apparent happiness about the situation in a hospital selfie, where Kardashian appeared by his side. He was pictured wearing a hospital gown and cap.

The day before his surgery, Kardashian was seen by Barker's side in the hospital, sharing a kiss with him prior to the procedure. Barker captioned a photo of this moment, "My beautiful wife by my side." Their daughter Alabama was also present.

This is not the first time Barker has undergone surgery for an arm-related issue. Three years prior, he had surgery on his finger to repair a torn ligament. In March 2023, he announced the success of that procedure and thanked fans for their support.

Kardashian and Barker married in 2022 and have one son, Rocky. Kardashian also has three children from her previous relationship with Scott Disick: Mason, Penelope, and Reign. Barker has a daughter, Alabama, and a stepdaughter, Atiana De La Hoya, from his marriage to Shanna Moakler.

Barker's documentary, "Louder Than Fear," released in August, touched upon the couple's journey, including a miscarriage they experienced six months into their relationship. Kardashian revealed in the film that they had planned to name their daughter Tulip. The couple welcomed their son Rocky on November 1, 2023, after several unsuccessful in vitro fertilization attempts, ultimately conceiving naturally.
