Kanye West Spends Thousands on Pokémon Cards for Children
The rapper reportedly shut down a Burbank store for a shopping spree.
Kanye West recently treated his children to a significant shopping spree at LA Sports Cards in Burbank, California, where he reportedly spent "thousands upon thousands" on Pokémon cards. A source told Page Six that the store was closed to the public to accommodate West and his kids.
"Kanye went to LA Sports Cards in Burbank with his kids Wednesday night," the source shared. "They shut the store down for him to shop. His kids were so excited."
The Grammy winner shares four children with ex-wife Kim Kardashian: North, 13; Saint, 10; Chicago, 8; and Psalm, 7.
LA Sports Cards shared photos on social media of West posing with store employees, captioning the post, "Always a pleasure having you @ye 💫. Thank you so much for stopping by!"
This is not the first time West has indulged his children with trading cards. In May, he was seen with his youngest son, Psalm, leaving the same store with a large box of trading cards.
Kardashian has also been seen shopping at LA Sports Cards. In February, she visited the store, and in August, she attended the LA Sports Card Expo with Saint, who reportedly pulled a rare Kyogre card from a Pokémon pack. While ungraded, the card is valued between $12 and $20, with a graded version potentially worth around $230.
