Chilling ring camera footage captured Ronald Williams, 53, a registered sex offender, screaming incoherently outside his Winfield, Kansas, home just days before he murdered his wife and four children before taking his own life. The video, recorded on August 7, shows Williams packing items into his truck while shouting nonsensical vulgarities and phrases such as “my cousin,” “kill my cousin,” and “I’m ‘bout to f—k you up.”
A second camera angle shows Williams, described as mentally deranged, looming over a smaller figure and a child while packing and repeating, “when we went to Oklahoma.”
On Tuesday, August 10, Williams fatally shot his wife, Kelly George, 44, and their four children: Carol Williams, 9; Ronald Williams Jr., 7; Sarah Williams, 5; and Kelly Magee-Williams, 3. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation reported that Williams called 911 shortly after the killings, stating what he had done and his intention to commit suicide.
When law enforcement arrived at the property around 11 a.m., they heard a gunshot. Authorities discovered all six individuals with gunshot wounds. Investigators believe Williams killed his family before the 911 call and then died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound as police approached.
Williams had a history of offenses, including a 1998 conviction for attempted indecent liberties with a child. Public records indicate previous felony charges for drugs, battery, assault on a law enforcement officer, burglary, attempted rape, and kidnapping, primarily in the Kansas City metro area. Police had responded to the Williams residence approximately two dozen times since September 2024.
