Kansas Man Charged with Threatening to Kill Trump Ahead of Rally
Federal authorities have charged a Kansas man with threatening the life of President Donald Trump prior to his scheduled rally in Wichita.

A man from Kansas has been charged in a federal criminal complaint with making threats against President Donald Trump. Jaden John Read was charged on October 17 with knowingly and willfully threatening to kill the president or inflict bodily harm.
According to the complaint, Read had allegedly been observing rooftop locations near the planned rally site in Wichita ahead of Trump's visit on Monday. If convicted, Read faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison.
