The prediction market platform Kalshi is offering a promotion for new users interested in trading contracts related to the 2027 college football championship. With the promo code NYPMAX, new users who complete at least $25 in trades can receive up to $500.
More than $7 million has already been traded on the 2027 college football championship market on Kalshi, according to the New York Post. This market is available to users in numerous states and territories, including Alabama, California, Florida, New York, and Texas, among others.
The promotion is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old and have a legal U.S. residential address within participating states, the District of Columbia, or U.S. territories. It is not available in Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, and Ohio.
Kalshi allows users to trade on a variety of sports markets, such as golf, WNBA, MLB, international soccer, and the NFL. The platform enables users to trade contracts with peers based on the outcome of sporting events.
Regarding the 2027 college football championship market, traders on Kalshi currently favor Notre Dame, giving the team a 13 percent chance to win. Ohio State and Texas are each projected with a 12 percent chance, followed by Oregon at 11 percent. The reigning champion Indiana Hoosiers are given a nine percent chance to repeat.
