Kaia Gerber's Friends Help Search for Missing Cat Days After Brother's Death

Model Kaia Gerber's friends, including influencer Jake Shane and her boyfriend, actor Lewis Pullman, have been seen helping her search for her missing cat, Tony, days after the death of her brother, Presley Gerber. The group was spotted in Gerber's Hollywood Hills neighborhood on Wednesday, distributing "Lost Cat" posters.

Tony was last seen on Tuesday and is reportedly wearing a tracker on its neck. The posters offered a reward for the cat's safe return, though the amount was not specified. Photos from the search showed Carissa Gallo, a director, carrying an envelope with Gerber's name on it.

Presley Gerber, Kaia's only sibling, died on Sunday at the age of 27. He was found in a bedroom at a Santa Monica rehabilitation facility. According to 911 audio obtained by Page Six, Presley was treated for a suspected overdose before going into cardiac arrest. An official cause of death has not yet been released.

Sources previously indicated that Presley had checked into a rehabilitation home the same weekend he died and was under the influence of a substance upon arrival. He had reportedly been prescribed ketamine by a doctor despite having a history of issues with the drug.

Kaia Gerber, 25, and Presley were the children of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber. A source close to Kaia told Page Six that she shared an exceptionally tight bond with her brother and is taking his death very hard, describing them as "way more than brother and sister" and "like best friends."

In an interview with Vogue in August, Kaia spoke about her brother's struggles, noting that such experiences can "level everyone." She also praised Presley for his openness about his addiction and mental health issues, calling him her "greatest teacher."

Cindy Crawford is reportedly devastated and inconsolable following her son's death, with a source stating it is "every parent's worst nightmare."
