Kaia Gerber and Hayes Warner, co-stars in the upcoming FX series "The Shards," shared a provocative moment, touching tongues as they promoted the show on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California. Gerber, the daughter of Cindy Crawford, posted a series of images on Instagram, including the one with Warner, captioned "Communing with the divine." The gesture appeared to be an early birthday kiss for Warner, who was set to turn 26 on Thursday.

"The Shards," a 10-episode dark coming-of-age tale set in 1981 Los Angeles, is based on Bret Easton Ellis's 2023 novel of the same name. Gerber and Warner will portray wealthy prep school students Susan Reynolds and Debbie Schaffer, respectively. The series is slated to premiere on August 5 on FX and Hulu. Other cast members include Igby Rigney, Evan Rachel Wood, Wes Bentley, Graham Campbell, Daniel Dale, and Homer Gere.

Gerber has previously worked with "The Shards" showrunner Ryan Murphy on FX's "American Horror Story: Double Feature" and the spin-off "American Horror Stories" in 2021. In "The Shards," Warner is reportedly in a relationship with producer-DJ Christian Michael Dold, while Gerber has been dating actor Lewis Pullman since at least December 2024.

This role marks Gerber's latest venture into acting, following a series of projects. She recently starred as Ava in James Morosini's erotic thriller "Bulls." Prior to that, Gerber played back-up dancer Nikki in David Lowery's psychological thriller "Mother Mary," which had a modest box office performance. She also appeared in Jonah Hill's black comedy "Outcome." Gerber's acting career follows in the footsteps of her mother, supermodel Cindy Crawford, who also pursued acting roles in various television shows and films.
