Kai Trump, granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, has a new celebrity crush: actor Theo James. This marks a shift from her previous public declaration of a crush on "Outer Banks" star Drew Starkey.
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, the 19-year-old shared that her taste in celebrity crushes has evolved since she first named Starkey in 2024. "I think Theo James now, yeah, Theo James, I would say, so it's changed," Kai Trump stated. She added that while she still likes Starkey, her preference has shifted.
Trump described James, 41, as "very attractive," explaining his appeal. This revelation follows a 2024 YouTube Q&A session where she initially identified Drew Starkey as her celebrity crush. At the time, she had to look up Starkey's name, expressing surprise at her own initial forgetfulness.
Kai Trump also commented on the challenges of dating while being part of a prominent political family. "It's not easy, to be honest with you, but you know, you gotta live life," she said. She emphasized her desire to live as normal a life as possible, balancing her family's public profile with her experiences as a college student.
Beyond her personal life, Trump discussed her popular YouTube channel, which boasts 1.5 million subscribers. The channel offers a glimpse into her life as a competitive golfer, a college student, and a member of the Trump family, featuring vlogs about travel, golf, family events, and public appearances. She mentioned receiving praise from celebrities for her online content, including advice to stay true to herself and disregard negativity.
"I met this one celebrity one time, I was hanging out with him at the Masters, and he also said that what I'm doing, just continue being yourself and just kind of block out the haters and just keep on being you," Trump recalled, noting the impact of such encouragement from a high-profile individual.
