Kai Trump, granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, stated that politics is "not my thing" and expressed her desire to inspire the next generation through her vlogs. Trump, who is preparing to play collegiate golf for the Miami Hurricanes, discussed her approach to sharing her life with her followers.
Speaking at the ESPYs, Trump explained her vlog aims to provide an inside look at being part of a prominent political family while navigating her personal journey. "I just like showing my life and showing how you can still be an athlete and you can still do a ton of other things and enjoy a ton of other things," she told Sportico. She added, "So, I just kind like showing people that everything’s possible and I love just showing the new generation my progress through college, eventually, but obviously how I got to where I am today."
When asked about the intersection of sports and politics, Trump reiterated her preference for staying out of political discussions. "Honestly, I just stay out of politics. It’s not my thing," she said. However, she noted her positive experience at a UFC event, appreciating the presence of veterans. "But I think the UFC event was great and it was really cool being there and especially having veterans in the stadium as well, that’s where you can kinda combine the (America) 250 point of view on it. But I thought it was great."
Trump is preparing for her collegiate golf debut as one of two freshmen on the Miami Hurricanes team. The team also includes Bella Dovhey.
