Kai Trump has shared the regimen that helped her achieve a six-pack after undergoing wrist surgery. The competitive golfer revealed in an interview with Fox News Digital that her fitness transformation was driven by a combination of a specific diet and rigorous exercise.
Trump, who weighs 120 pounds, stated that she consumes approximately 150 grams of protein daily. She emphasized starting her day with a protein shake or similar source containing about 40 grams of protein to ensure it's in her system. Her diet is strictly gluten-free and dairy-free, focusing on "very clean" eating. She also avoids eggs due to a mild allergy.
"I would be totally fine eating steak for the rest of my life, or just chicken and rice, which is weird to some people, but I like it," Trump said. Her preferred meal is a ground beef bowl with rice and avocado. For snacks, she opts for prosciutto with pesto rather than sweets.
During her recovery from wrist surgery, which temporarily sidelined her from golf, Trump set a goal to achieve a six-pack within the seven months before her return to the sport. "I literally told them, ‘I have seven months before I return to golf, we’re getting a six-pack,’" she recalled. "And I got a six-pack literally just by prioritizing the right foods and working out."
Her workout routine incorporates core exercises, squats, and cardio, particularly using a stair-climbing machine. Before golf tournaments, she follows a trainer-designed warm-up that includes foam rolling and muscle activation exercises. Trump highlighted the mental benefits of exercise, stating, "Nothing clears your head better than going to the gym and working out. Even if you’re not lifting heavy or if you’re just walking on the treadmill, being active clears your head and helps your mental health."
Trump credits her mother, Vanessa Trump, with instilling these healthy habits from a young age. "Seeing how she eats and what she prioritizes … I kind of grew into that," she explained.
Last week, Kai Trump provided an update on her mother's health, telling Page Six that Vanessa Trump is "doing good" and "doing better" following a cancer battle.
